Respected Sir, I am a retired Sr. PI, who got retired from ATS, MS, Mumbai in the year 2014... Sir, your efforts to start a project on Citizen Forum is highly appreciable and a remarkable increase in its follower is noticed.
Sir I wanted to know whether delivery platforms like Zomato, Swiggy, Groffers, Zepto etc., who function 24x7 from their respective stores, delivering the goods to the end customer at their door steps through various riders, are required to obtain any license from the competent government authorities or any Police clearance to carry out their operations round the clock. And in absence of any such license or permission, are they not suppose to shut down their establishments at the mandated time, as being done by the Malls, Hotels, Pubs, Bar and Restaurants... A clarity on this would help us to decide on the approach to deal with this by the citizen at large... It has been noticed that local police are visiting such stores and asking them for the license permitting their operations to be carried out on 24x7 basis. In absence of the same they are shutting down their operations after 12.00 Midnight.
Thanking You,
Sincerely Yours,
Dinesh Agrawal (Retd Sr. PI)
